Media Advisory 
The 1st Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will be held at Convention Center of China World Hotel in Beijing, China from Saturday, June 25 to Sunday, June 26 2016. The theme of the Annual Meeting is “Partnership for Infrastructure Development”. Accredited media are welcome to do coverage of the event.

Registration/Accreditation Requirement

Journalists and technical staff of media organizations who wish to attend Annual Meeting events must be registered. To attend the Annual Meeting, all working Press must obtain Annual Meeting credentials. Requests for media registration will be denied if applicants cannot establish that they are professional journalists.
To be registered online, journalists must have valid press credentials issued by national or local authorities; or clear evidence that they are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. This applies to all freelancers, including technicians. A valid assignment letter from that news organization is required.
- Chinese journalists must have press cards issued by the General Administration of Press and Publication of China.
International journalists based in China must have press credentials issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
Journalists based outside China must have press credentials issued by national or local authorities.
Registration Process
To register for the Annual Meeting, complete the online Media Registration Request and submit it along with your valid press credentials. After being successfully accredited online, media will receive a letter of confirmation.
Online registration will close by June 10, 2016. Media should ensure that online registration is completed early enough to allow sufficient time for accreditation and visa application to China (if applicable). The letter of confirmation will need to be presented for visa application, as well as the collection of identification badges at the meeting.
Journalists are requested to apply for their visas early and to comply with the visa requirements. Successful online registration for the Annual Meeting does not automatically guarantee entrance to China.
Press Badges
Badges may be collected at the registration center in China World Hotel, Beijing. Badges provide media access to all public sessions of the Annual Meeting and should be worn at all times. 
Media Center
A Media Center will be set up for journalists at the Convention Center of the China World Hotel, Summit Wing. It will have desks for 30 journalists and will be open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on June 24-26, 2016.
The Media Center operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Communication services, including wireless internet access and a limited number of desktop computers, will be made available. Journalists are encouraged to bring their own laptops and universal adaptors.
Press Conferences and Events
Registered journalists are invited to attend the following press event:
- Opening Session of AIIB Annual Meeting
- AIIB President's Press Conference.
The Annual Meeting will run two seminars which feature expert panelists, Infrastructure and Global Economic Growth and Financing Green Infrastructure: The Role of MDBs. Media are welcome to attend these events.
Due to capacity constraints, on-site media section seats will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to photographic/TV media, provided they arrive before the events start.  
Interview Requests
The AIIB External Communications Team handles requests for interviews with AIIB Management and senior staff.
Requests for interviews with delegates to the Annual Meeting must be made directly to the delegations. 

Other Provisions
The final decision on all applications for media accreditation rests with the AIIB.
The working language of the 2016 AIIB Annual Meeting is English.
